OneDrive app for Windows 10

Microsoft has released a "Universal" app for OneDrive designed specifically for Windows 10.  This app has a new, modern look and feel that matches those apps already released for iOS and Android.  Also, if you are lucky enough to have a touch-enabled Windows 10 device, this app is super easy to use.  Read the Office Blog entry for more details.

Enhancements to Office 365 eDiscovery

To save you time and make it easier to perform investigations and eDiscovery from one central location, we have released several eDiscovery enhancements to the Office 365 Security & Compliance Center, including case management, search, hold and export. These new eDiscovery enhancements further strengthen the rich set of eDiscovery capabilities already present in Office 365 to help you quickly investigate and meet legal and regulatory obligations from the Security & Compliance Center.

Media Analytics for Azure Media Services in public preview

Media Analytics is a collection of speech and vision services that makes it easier for organizations and enterprises to derive actionable insights from their video files through advanced machine learning technology. Scenarios include evidence analysis, video redaction, intelligent search indexes, speech to text conversion and optical character recognition for any text that might show up in a video.  Finally, be sure to check out the incredible work we ae doing with facial emotion recognition – is the subject happy, upset, guilty?!?!?

New tool for helping resolve Office 365 issues

Microsoft has released a new troubleshooting tool for use when things don't seem to be working as expected with Office 365.  The Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365 is an easy-to-use app that asks you some simple questions, tests for some of the most common Office 365 support issues and attempts to implement resolutions on your behalf. Right now, most of the assistance is focused on Outlook, but new capabilities will be added soon.

Forrester names Microsoft Azure a leader in Big Data Hadoop Cloud Solutions


Forrester’s first Hadoop Cloud Wave has published and Microsoft is positioned as a Leader, with the strongest scores of any vendor for strategy and for current offering.  Microsoft's cloud implementation of Hadoop is HDInsight, and is part of the larger solution set Cortana Intelligence.  Customers are using HDInsight for IoT, Data Lakes, BI, analytics and other big data solutions.

Microsoft Security Intelligence Report Volume 20 is now available

The latest volume of the Microsoft Security Intelligence Report (SIR) is now available for free download at www.microsoft.com/sir.

We’ve been publishing threat intelligence reports for our customers, partners and the industry for 10 years now. During that time, we’ve published over 12,500 pages of threat intelligence, 100+ blog posts, many videos, and delivered thousands of customer briefings all over the world.

This new volume of the report includes threat data from the second half of 2015 as well as longer term trend data on industry vulnerabilities, exploits, malware, and malicious websites. The report also provides deep dive threat data for over 100 countries/regions.

New this report is a section on protecting identities in the cloud.

Advanced Threat Analytics new version 1.6 is now available!

Nasuni’s inclusion in the Azure Marketplace, and joining the Microsoft P-Seller Program are further examples of how Nasuni is expanding its reach and ability to sell through more channels.

The Future of SharePoint
